Madam,
I am directed by Mr. Secretary Amery to
infom you that, subject to your being passed by the
Medical Adviser of this Department sa physically fit
for service he proposes to select you for probationary
appointment as an Assistant istress in the Education Department of Hong Kong, with salary at the rate of 4300 a year, rising by annual incrasents of £20 to
£340 a year.
quarters are not provided but you will
be riven a house allowance of $50 a month.
2. It is to be understood that your engagement
is for not more than three years from the date of your
rrival in the Colony; and that, if it is established
to the satisfaction of the Coveror that you are not
qualified for efficient service there, he will,
subject to the confirmation of the Secretary of state,
