the 8th instant (30071/27) enclosing a copy of a
Draft Consolidating Ordinance for the Hong Kong and
Shanghai Bank, we are asking the Board of Trade for
their observations, and should be glad if you could let
an early dale

us have a further copy of the Draft Bill I should
perhaps mention that the draft Bill and Regulations
involve a considerable extension of the powers of the
Bank, and we shall probably have some substantial
alterations to suggest.
