The Right Honourable J.H.Thomas, M.P.
Sir,
May I be permitted to take the liberty of addressing you on a
personal matter. my second son Robert Ho Tung, Junior, is anxious to
join a Military College. He has just finished his ecucation at
Queen's College, Hongkong and is 18 years of age. We tried to get him
into the Military Colleges in China, but owing to the disturbed state
of China, these Colleges are practically closed down. I shall feel
very grateful if you would be so kind as to recommend my son to the
Wer Office to give him permission to join the Sandhurst College, I
paying all the regular fees and expenses.
Thanking you in anticipation.
I have the honour to be,
Sir,
Your obedient servant,
R
