passages when he has had not less than four years' continuous tropical service of which not
less than two years have been in Hong Kong. If
the leave is taken on the advice of a medical
board after less than two years in Hong Kong but
more than four years' continuous tropical service
the Governor shall have discretion to decide
whether full passage shall be paid and, if not,
what proportion shall be paid by the officer
himself. In other cases only the proportion
earned by service in Hong Kong shall be paid.
If the transferred officer is over 45 he will
be given of the cost of full passages if he
has had not less than three years' tropical
service of which not less than 1 years have
been in Hong Kong. If the leave is taken on
the advice of a medical board after less than
1 years' service in Hong Kong but more than three years' continuous tropical service the
Governor shall have discretion to decide whether
passages shall be paid and if not what proportion shall be paid by the officer himself.
In other cases only the proportion earned by
service in Hong Kong shall be paid.
