to, so far as the short time at our disposal has
admitted, and have to observe as follows:-

It appears from the telegram from the
Governor of Hong Kong, that it is proposed to obtain
2,000,000 cubic yards of material still required for
the completion of the Kaitak reclamation by means of
dredging from the Harbour, and that the Netherlands
Harbour Works Company have undertaken to carry out this
work for the sum of Dollars 1,491,000. We understand
