Opium (Indian) Portuguese Possessions -
Macao
Import of, into Mr. Walton's letter No. E. & 0.3203/27, dated the 10th May 1927.
I am directed to refer to the letter quoted above
forwarding certain papers relating to opium traffic in
Macao. It is now observed from the Macao Opium Return
for February 1927, that Macao imported 5 "Caixas" and
200 "bolas" of Benares opium during that month.
I am
directed to suggest that, if the Right Hon'ble the
Secretary of State for India approves, the Foreign
office may be moved to write to His Majesty's
Representative in Lisbon regarding this transaction also,
în continuation of their Despatch to him, No.146, dated
the 7th April 1927.
