I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of
your despatch No.569 (F 7429/310/87) of September 13th
enclosing copies of correspondence regarding the supply
of opium to Macao, and to transmit to you herewith a copy
of the Note which His lajesty's Ambassador addrested to
the Portuguese Government on this subject in accordance
with the instructions contained in your despatch No.359
(F 4654/3383/87) of November 16th last.
