the 9th of September was despatched to Sir M. Lampson

concurring in his views and the whole question remains
now in suspense until the members of the Boxer Indemnity
Committee return to London and hold their next meeting.
To complete the files I enclose a copy of the
circular issued by Lord Buxton on the 12th of September
to the members of the Committee informing them of the
position.
