regard the Sepcial Council formed by the three clieque s as absolutely illegal. I am not against the Government
in Nanking, nor will I raise any question against any
individuals. Now with the qualification of a Kuomintang
member, I have made a demand to the Central Kuomintang
Department at Nanking that the Central Executive Committee
and Inspectorate at the next Conference should take steps
to dismiss the existing illegal Special Council. I further
hope that a General Conference of the Central Executive
and Inspectorate will be convened as soon as possible to
solve the problem in connection with the amalgamation of
Hankow and Nanking, and all important questions concerning
the Kuomintang and Nation.
(Question) What is your feeling towards Mr. Wong Ching
Wai?
(Answer) Mr. Wong has always worked hard for our Kuomintang, and I support him strongly. This was clearly
explained in my telegram of the 5th. inst. on the present
situation. The recent resignation of Mr. Wong is probably
also due to his op osition to the illegal Special Council,
Mr. Wong is a vital part of our Kuomintang and Nation,
and we cannot fail to be very anxious about him. I and Heung Wa (i.e. Cheung Fat Fu) have recently wired him a joint message, requesting him to return to Canton to
administer the Government.
