To-day you are holding a meeting here

to welcome my return to Canton, and to celebrate the

elimination of the Communist troops of 1 (Ting) and Io than

(Lung). Thus the meeting is held for a double purpose, to

welcome and to celebrate. I am sorry I am not worthy of

your welcome.

As to the celebration of the elimination of

the rebellious Communists, you officers and soldiers of

functions. As long as the Special Council remains, our
