3.
On the 31st August, 1927, the "Lung Man" at Shataukok shot 3 men whom they arrested a week
previous. These three men were members of Lai Chun
Ying's robber gang and were all natives of Chinese
Territory.
(1) Wong Tam Tai, 45, of Pak Kong Village,
Wai Chau.
(2) Cheung Lan, 35, of Pak Mong Fa Village,
Tam Shui.
(3) Yeung Kam, 37, of Tsing Kai Village,
Tung Kun.
(Lai Chun Ying was a former officer under General Lo Kwan, and is now head of a robber gang operating from around Wang Kong, Chinese Territory.)
The 3 men were taken to behind the Tung Wo tower and there shot in full view of our picquet, an
act of "frightfulness" calculated, no doubt, to
impress our soldiers and police.
