Review by Mr. Ng Tsz Fai on the Kuomintang under the

heading "Note to telegram of lir. Mong Ching Mai dated

the 16th.".

Someone has put me this question, "What has

made Lir. Wong Ching Wai take his recent trip to Wuhan,

willingly throw himself into the environment of Com-

munist influence, and even play such a character as is

generally represented by an inferior actor with specta-

cles and a small cap on, crying on the stage to the

highest possible pitch of his voice and preaching exten-

sively by wire the "3 gigantic policies" and "unification of the front", appearing to be very earnest as if they

were invented by him?"

In reply I said, "Nothing. Surely he could not

have any definite purpose for it. Mr. Wong has his own

specific character and therefore his own worthiness.

I last met him in the To Wan Building in Shanghai on

April the 5th at 10 in the morning, and I advised him

that he would some day have cause to weep bitterly

before us and that for the time being I would not insist

on his taking our side."
