The large number of documents found in the General Labour
Union in Shanghai has revealed to us their dangerous intrig-
ues. If what we have done is reckoned as oppressing our
masses, the only thing left for our national revolutionary
soldiers to do is to tie themselves up and ask our masses to
shoot them. What is the use of teaching them to fight for
the cause of our masses, if they have no heart for it?
After all the opposition of our Kuomintang to the
Communists is not opposition to the peasants and workmen;
on the contrary it is a good opportunity for true peasants and workmen to rouse and organize themselves. Wake up! Organisation is indispensable for you, if you want to seek your own benefit. If you now fail to organise, others will presently form organisations under your names and make you
their tools. Peasants and workmen who have interested
themselves in organisation before, should not be dishearten-
ed, but must realize the gloomy and deceitful work of others,
while those who have not before taken any interest in
organisation should not be frightened and refrain from it, but should know that, after the elimination of the Communists from the positions they have usurped, it will be opportune for them to form their own organisations in peace. Any
undue trouble that is caused, in the course of our suppress-
ion of the Communists, to bona-fide peasants and workmen in any place within the jurisdiction of our Nationalist Government and our National Revolutionary Armies, may be reported to the Generalissimo's Headquarters, and the perpetrators will be punished according to law. Their libel of me as a new militarist is wicked and ridiculous. How can
