united front against the Imperialists so as to create
enemies on all sides of China, and afterwards fall into the
trap of a particular party or country. As to the affairs of
our Kuomintang, they know that we advocate the government of
our country by the Kuomintang and take it as the only means
for the salvation of China. Therefore they have intrigued
their way into our Kuomintang, to confuse our system, to set
up dissension among our comrades and to use the bad men in
our party as their tools. On the one hand they have stolen
and usurped the so-called Central Authority and on the other
made all attempts to seize and monopolize all the lower
departments of our Kuomintang, and to oppress and eliminate
our true members so that they can carry out their wicked
intrigues of substituting us by their own men, like a cicada
molting its skin.
Next I refer to things military. In view of our
rapid military progress, they were afraid that on our
accomplishment of our National Revolution, we would take
immediate steps to effect re-construction and that there
would be no opportunity for their own development. There-
fore they created dissension among our revolutionary soldier
to prejudice our military affairs. They delayed the supplies
of rations and munitions and did everything against us. All
these facts have been given in detail in my letter warning
the members of our Kuomintang, and all of you can look it
up.
After all they have committed all kinds of mischief
under different pretexts, and when we have been effectively ruined, they will practise Dictatorship under the direction
of a foreign body with the support of unemployed rascals.
This gave rise all along the Yang-tsz-kiang to the cry "Down
with the Kuomintang". Are the true members of the Kuomin-
tang to be destroyed? I must beg that our nationals make
