late President in Canton that Leninism in Russia was like

hatred fostered from keen love. A man may still exchange compliments with another against whom he has an ordinary grudge, but he will entertain sheer hatred against anyone whom he loved dearly, once he has got into a dispute with him. When I was in Peking, I often associated myself with

the Communists, such as Li Tai Chiu, who has often been

blamed as being a Rightist of the Communist Party. He has

often said that the Communists are yet in their infancy.

The Russian Revolution has not been an easy one and has a

history of 150 years behind it. The independence of Belgium, the unification of Italy, and the reform of Japan

all have had better results than the Russian Revolution,

being realized within only 50 or 60 years. Even the Chinese Revolution in the San Hoi year (1911) was successfully carried out before the Russian Revolution. During the past

150 years numerous devoted Revolutionists in Russia have

been exiled to Siberia, and it was only after much sacrifice

and much extraordinary trouble, that it crystalized into

Bolshevism, which is like a chemical mixture produced by a combination of salt and acid, being neither acid nor salt.

The Bolshevists hate everything, and therefore cannot place much value on anything; disagreement is always their policy.

They act recklessly in order to achieve their ends, and this

is wherein their infancy consists. For instance, when they

cannot open a door, they try to break it open by beating

with their fists and kicking with their feet, and even break

in through a window. Again when they go to bed, they draw

down the mosquito net before they put the coverlet on. Since they have been so fanatic, how is it that they have

still maintained order in Russia? It is because the races

in the East and West differ from each other in character.
