present China has too little property for the purpose, and
her people only consist of the poor and the poorer classes.
If communism is practiced, it will only be a sharing in
common of poverty, which can in no way be pleasant. We
must abide by what our Kuomintang advocates, that is we
should create property first before practising Communism,
and by so doing we shall have true Communism. If we
advocate Communism now, it will inevitably degenerate into
local banditry. Are Chinese Communists in the form of local
bandits, beneficial or harmful to you? I believe you do not
like local bandits. How much more would you not like
Communist bandits who have a desire to sell our Country to
Russia, as I have told you above, and to make you taste the
bitterness of being the good citizens of a Colony.
(6) The Purification Movement and the Peasants.
Our Peasant Comrades! Our Dear Peasant Comrades!
and our Revolutionary Peasant Comrades! Since you are aware of the crimes of the Communists which I have mentioned above,
and of the good points of our Kuomintang, I have no need to
reiterate the necessity of overthrowing the Chinese
Communists. Therefore we can say that our recent Party
Purification Movement, a movement to overthrow the Communists
is in compliance with your wishes, and that it is for the
sake of your privileges that we have to eliminate the Chinese
Communists in order to strengthen the foundations of the
Chinese Kuomintang, to accomplish our Northern Expedition
and our National Revolution, and to hasten on the World
Revolution. You cannot have prosperity without the success
of our National Revolution and the victory of our Kuomintang.

hard for our present Party Purification Movement and to take
