Following our Chairman's conversation
of yesterday, we enclose for your information, draft form of proposed Agreement, which it is suggested
should form the basis of discussion between this
Company and Seamen's Union in Canton, and shall be glad to have the benefit of any comments thereon.
In considering this whole question, we would specially draw your attention to the fact that the trade of the Company is solely with the ports of
Macao and Canton, and for that reason the Company's
position is entirely different to steamers trading from Hong Kong to Coastal or Deep Sea Ports.
