(Extract from Kung Sheung Yat Po, Hong Kong. 30th July 1927)

Telegram in the midst of a prayer for Tseung (Kai Shek)

urging that he and Li (Chai Sham) be punished.

Yesterday during the progress of the "Grand

Conference of all classes in Kwangtung for praying for the success of Generalissimo Tseung in his Northern Expedition", the Communists under the names of seven leading labour

associations circulated a printed telegram urging and supporting an expedition for the punishment of Tseung and Li. They sent men to the premises where the Conference was being

held to distribute such circulars when opportunity permitted

This became known to the troops and police who at once went

in different directions to arrest them. But the men fled.

into the crowds, and made good their escape. At that time nobody dated to pick up the reactionary handbills, which were finally all collected by the pickets. Our own correspondent (in Canton) secured after some trouble a copy

of it, and we now publish it below:-
