Speech by General Tseung at the Conference held to
welcome him by the Kuomintang members in Shanghai.
My Comrades!
Our National Revolutionary Army has,
now taken Shanghai. Of course it is due to the efforts of
you Comrades. But it is also the result of the good work of the late Mr. Chan Ying Shi and of the 3 Aspects of Democracy
of our late President. Mr. Chan was one of the founders of
the Chinese Kak Ming Tong (Revolutionary Party) which has
developed into the Chinese Kuomintang. Therefore without
the efforts of Mr. Chan, our Kuomintang would not have

gunboats have constantly fired at our soldiers. Of late the British aeroplanes have helped the Put Hoi squadron to make
a surprise attack on us in the river Wusung. Fortunately
