never to be forgotten, we must maintain it in such a position

that it will be qualified to lead the masses. Now that the

Communists have expelled all its loyal members and usurped

its management, all people are supposing that it has been

Sovietized, and thus how can it be the case that it will not

be forgotten? Our Principle of Social Livelihood can in no

way be similar to Communism. It prevents capitalism, but

permits no class-antagonism or tyranny of the property-less

class. The greatest rival of the Communists is our Kuomin-

teng, for as long as our Kuomintang is in power, the Communist

Party can have no hope of ruling China. Thus how can they co-operate with us with sincerity?

In the present crisis I must appeal to all you

loyal members of our Kuomintang to do your utmost early to

accomplish the national Revolution, to promote the privileges

of the masses, especially of the peasants and workmen, and

to strengthen unity among us.
