Dear Comrades, The Commonwealth Trade Union Congress of Australia

has authorised and requested the All-China Labour Federation,

jointly in the name of the two organisations, to issue a call for a

PAN-PACIFIO LABOUR CONGRESS

to take place in Canton, China, on May 1 1987, to which should be

invited the trade union organisations of Japan, India, Russia, the

United States, Mexico, Korea, Philippine Islands, Indonesia, Canada,

The Pacific countries of South America, and all trade union movements

whose problems are immediately connected with the Far East (England,

France).

We propose for the agenda of the Congress the following

points, subject to acceptance and revisions by the Congress:

(1) Report of the Preparatory Bureau,

(2) Reports by the delegates of the various countries,

(5) The international trade union movement and the

situation in the Pacific countries,

movement,

(4) Struggle against imperialism and the trade union

(5) International action to regulate wages and hours,

(6) The war danger on the Pacific,

(7) Problems of immigration and the trade unions,

(8) Establishment of organised relations between the

trade unions of Pacific countries,

(9) Other problems of the Pacific and the Far East.
