engines there and made off with them up the line. A third
engine was set adrift headed for British territory, but
owing to lack of steam came to a halt at Lowu Bridge.
Between the bridge and Sham Chum Railway Station about 36
feet of rails were removed. I am told that the two engines
taken away ran off the line and are lying wrecked somewhere
near Po Kak.
All trains on the British section are halting at Lowu Bridge, but I hear this morning that there is a possibility of the through service being resumed tomorrow.

There is nothing to report from the Mirs Bay quarter
where everything appears peaceful.
