That will mean the destruction root and branch
of the Chinese Kuomintang. How is it conceivable that
one section should survive singly? Our present movement
is to support the whole Kuomintang, not one section of it,
nor any individual members of it. We are supporting
the principles and doctrines of the Kuomintang, and not
what any section or individual in it advocates. What
we are fighting for is the authority of the Party, the
whole Party. Authority should be vested in the whole
Kuomintang and not in any section or individual in it.
We cannot preserve our unity and attack the Communists
unless we get a clear understanding of this point. If
at this crisis for our Party and the Nation we are going
to have rivalry between cliques and cabals, and competition for
place between individuals, it will mean that it is not the
Communists who are ruining the Party, but the members themselve
and that it is not merely the Communist Party that is betray-
ing our late President, but the members of our own Party
themselves.
Let all members of our Kuomintang rouse themselves!
Let all members of our Kuomintang arise and unite!
Let all members of our Kuomintang flock under the
sacred flag of the Blue Sky and the White Sun!
Down with the Chinese Communist Party!
