Enclosure No. 2.

Translation.

(Extract from Man Kwok Yat Po, Canton, 22nd April, 1927).

Reasons why the Chinese Communists should be exterminated. Speech by Tsang Young Po at a banquet in honour of the

Representatives of all classes at the headquarters of the

Mass Movement Commission.

Comrades: Comrades of all classes! A detailed report

has already been given you by our Comrade Chan Fu Muk of

what has been done to wipe out the Communists. What I am now

going to tell you is the reasons why the Chinese Comunists

should be exterminated.

We know that a great many people are opposed to Communism. The Imperialists, the Militarists, the local rascals, the degenerate gentry, and the corrupt and avaricious officials

are all opposed to it. Now the Kuomintang is also opposing

the Chinese Communists. They are not only opposing them, but

they want to exterminate them entirely.

But we must examine clearly whether our Kuomintang in

opposing and exterminating the Communists is motived by the

same reason as the Imperialists, Militarists, local rascals,

degenerate gentry and corrupt and avaricious officials.

The reasons we have for opposing and exterminating the

Chinese Communists are in fact entirely different from those

of the Imperialists, Militarists and reactionaries. Our

Kuomintang is a revolutionary party. For opposing and

exterminating the Communists we have some important and

irrefutable arguments. Now let me outline for you some of

the chief of these.

(1) We must wipe out the Chinese Communists in order

to safeguard the Kuomintang's continued existence.
