The General Labour Union of Hong Kong proclaims the
wicked crimes of the Hong Kong Government.

Since the Hong Kong Government has now enforced oppressive regulations prohibiting to the Chinese all freedom of assembly and procession, and restricting also
even marriage and funeral ceremonies; and since they
also despatched troops to disperse the mass gathering celebrating at the Lee Gardens a memorial service in honour of Dr. Sun, an oppressive action that has roused
the indignation of both men and spirits, the General
Labour Union in Hong Kong sent out yesterday an announce-
ment by wire and by post to various associations through-
out China and the world, which runs as follows:- (Titles

For 80 years our Chinese in Hong Kong have been subjected to the cruel and rapacious Colonial Government of the British Imperialists, who have recklessly oppressed
and victimized them. Recently they have again put into
force some cruel regulations prohibiting to the Chinese freedom of assembly and procession, and restricting also even Chinese marriage and funeral ceremonies. The Imperialists in Hong Kong have indeed treated us Chinese
like horses or oxen. These cruel regulations were made
at a time when a meeting was to be held in memory of our
greatest revolutionary leader, Mr. Sun Chung Shan, on
the occasion of the 2nd. Anniversary of his death.
