police Stations.
Simultaneously an attack was made upon the Military Training College at Whampoa supported by the Cruiser Chung Shan and two gunboats. The Cadets there surrendered after a sharp fight.
More than a hundred unions were involved in these proceedings. Among the more important of these
were:-

The Railwaymen's Union, 110 members were arrested. 3. The Peasents Co-operative Association.

The Hong Kong Strikers Union.
5. The Head Labour Union of Hong Kong (Heung Kong
Chung Kung Wui).

The All China. Labour Union.
7. The Revolutionary Workers Amalgamated Society.
8. The Peasants, Workman, Merchants & Students Union.
Other Organisations raided included:-
The Seamen's Union whose headquarters were found to be deserted
The Restaurant and Tea House Waiters' Union: where were
found $5,000 in cash, several revolvers end two machine guns. 2 men were arrested here and 5 elsewhere.
The Branch Political Council: which has its headquarters in
Hankow. 20 Communists were arrested here.
The Toreigners' Servants' Union. 30 arrested.
The Masons Unión.

The Labour Club. This was found empty a rêvolver and
eunition were seized.
The Flour Workers.
10 arrested.
Builders. Those offered resistence & 37 persons were arrested
The Labour Co-operative Association) These unions resisted & and the Shoemakers Union.
all their members but two escaped.
Ricks Coolies Union. Mative Cloth Workers.
Scaffolders.
60 or 90 arrested.
1 arrested.
10 arrested.
Women's Emancipation Society: where 6 women were arrested and
one-man in woman's clothes.
A house on the East Bund was also raided and 30 persons were
arrested after a fight.
