Management by the Nationalist Government of the
British Concession at Kinkiang after its resumption.
A Committee organised for the Control of the
British Concession.

Troops to maintain order in the British Concession.

After the massacre committed by Brith marines
at Kiukiang, the Revolutionary Army was sent to the
British Concession to maintain order and a Committee
for the Control of the British Concession was organised.
Chiu Ki, Chow Yung Nang and others were appointed thereto,
and Chow Yung Nang became chairman as nominated by the
Provisional Joint Conference. The Committee is now
located in the British Municipal Council, and the British
Consulate has also been put under the protection of
revolutionary troops. The British Consul has fled to a
British gun-boat. At present at order has been completely
restored in the Concession and all Japanese, Americans,
French, and other foreigners have been given passports by
the Committee, so as to enable them to leave and enter the
concession freely. All public notice boards in the
Concession are full of revolutionary watch-words.
The British Concession which was once ghostly and gloomy
has now been filled with the revolutionary atmosphere.
Yesterday the Committee posted up in the Concession
a notice in English and Chinese advising all foreigners
and others that they should live on in peace as usual,
and have no need to be excited. The notice runs as
