due ceremony. The notice as regards the official establishment of the Committee reads as follows:-

"To all whom it may concern. We are directed
by the Provisional Joint Conference of the Central Executive Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang and the Committee of the Nationalist Government to establish
a Provisional Committee for the Administration of the British Concession at Hankow to be responsible for
the control of all that has to do with public welfare
in the Concession.
A chop with the words, "Seal
of the Provisional Administration Committee of the
British Concession at Hankow" has been issued to us.
We assumed office on the 7th Janua y, and have put
the seal into use. As in duty bound, we issue this for the information of Chinese and foreigners.
