upon the occupation of the British Concession. At last all the municipal officers in the British Concession fled away
and the National Government had to organize a Committee to
take it over.
(6) The events of January the 3rd have proved the support
that the revolutionary Government has acquired from the
masses. We regained with out much pain the territory which had been seized by the reactionaries and held by them for a long time as their headquarters. The Hong Kong and Canton strike was a good example, and the influence of the people of Wu-chang and Hankow show in the case of January the ord
is still a better one. In future we shall follow the same
method of getting all unequal treaties and special rights
cancelled.
(7) The case of January the 3rd indicates that the revolutionary Government has worked in co-operation with the people. The people worked and the Government guided them. They help each other to accomplish their plans in connection. with the concession at Hankow.
(3) The case of January the 3rd shows that the masses are well disciplined and obey the instructions of the Government. Revolution is a complicated movement and the method pursued on January the 3rd when the masses observed strict discipline, has been proved practicable, and this should serve to remove the anxiety of these who are afraid
of mass demonstration.

(9) In the demonstration held in January the 3rd all alasses of people in Wuchang and Hankow were able to unite themselves with one accord against the British imperialists, and the shabby workmen rendered still greater services.
