a representation to the British on the following three
items:-
(1) All British banks to resume business.
(2) The British to express their attitude towards
the situation.
(3) The British to explain if they will give a

sincere answer to the demands put forth by
our overment.
The Government Council also area to be
responsible to see to these matters.
At 2 p.m. on the 7in the masses at Wu-chang
neld an Anti-British Demonstration at Yuet Ma Chong. More than 100,000 took part in it despite neavy rain.
And the following 4 resolutions were passed:

(1) To support the diplomatic policy of the
National Government.
(2) To support the resolutions made by the various
Associations.
(3) To enforce the resolutions as regards Anti-
British economic boycott.
(4) To support the resolutions made by the Anti- British Conference of the masses of Wu-criaug
and riannow.
Finally a procession was held unroughout the
City whian aid not disperse until evening.
On the outbreak of the Han.ow incident, trouble ensued in Kiu-kiang. We are told that when the mobs were rioting, Sung Tsz Man, the Financial Minister happened to pass hiu-kians on nis return irom Nan-chang after a Conference. He did his utmost to pacify the masses, who finally broke up.
