necessary to make the peasants, workmen and other classes
of people thoroughly understand the meaning of revolution.
Now the majority of the people have not only a good
understanding of the Three Aspects of Democracy, but have
also well grasped the fact that the Chinese Kuomintang is
the only leader of revolution. Since the masses have now
all a good conception of the aims and principles of the
Kuomintang and are working hard to support our revolution-
ary work, we shall surely succeed in our revolution.
"There is another point, and this refers to our
unaided condition in the past. We had not yet learned
that we could not resist the International Imperialists
without a union with the oppressed races throughout the
world. Now we have managed to get China united with all
revolutionary forces in the world and are conjointly
making an attack on the Imperialists. I think the
Imperialists will surely be defeated, and their defeat
will mean the success of the revolutionists. It is for
this that I said that the removal of the 4 obstacles
mentioned above would no doubt bring about the success of
our National Revolution.
"At present the most important thing for us is to
make clear who are our enemies. In our revolution in the
San Hoi year, we thought that our enemies were the Manchus
only. We did not realise that the militarists, old
officials, local rascals, bad gentry and Imperialists were
also our enemies. As we had a wrong conception of our
objects, we failed in our revolution in the San Hoi year.
"The British are the most formidable of the
Imperialists. Of late the British Imperialists, seeing
the development of our revolutionary influence, have step
by step adopted a well-speaking but evil-thinking policy
in dealing with us. They said in order to mislead our
people
