If our enemies have found any fault with us, they should
attack us directly. Why did they not attack the members of

He helped the Americans in their revolution, and became
their General. After the accomplishment of the American
revolution, the Americans made a statue of him and sent it
to France in his memory, and at the same time a statue was
erected in America in his remembrance. On every anniversary
of the Independence Day of America, the President attends
the statue and pays tribute to the original. This shows
how dearly the Americans keep General Lafayette in their
memory. But what made Lafayette help the Americans? He
was a revolutionist, and as he could not succeed in his
revolution in France, he fled to America, and helped the
Americans to accomplish their revolution. In so doing, he
