Dear Sir Cl sud,
2
Yusust,
1926.
Many thanks for your letter of the 20th of
August about lemazi. The position as to travelling is very much as I imagined it to be. There is one complica- tion however, in that Nemazi returned to ong Kong on a
Forsian passport.
The position now is that a despatch was sent to the overnor on the 9th of August telling him not to relax his vigilance in case Temazi should re-comence his
trafficking in illicit oniun. (The Home Office suspect
him of still being so engaged). In a separate despatch
the Governor was told that the 1924 instructions as to
the withholding of travelling facilities are under con-
sideration. This was to give Sir Malcolm an oportunity
(for which he pressed) of re-opening this question on
Grindle's return from leave. I have now heard from
Sir Malcolm that he will be away during the whole of
September and that this queation villaccordingly
probably stand over till October.
