I am directed by Mr. Secretary Amery to acknow-

ledge the receipt in this Department on the 6th of May

of your letter asking that you may be granted all or part

of the money paid into the Hong Kong Widows and Orphans

Pensions Fund by your late husband .

Xr. Amery regrets that he is not in a position

to grant your request, but a copy of your letter will be

sent to the Governor of Hong Kong who will be asked to

consider whether any grant can be made to you from Hong

Kong funds.
