Report on the seizure of heroin hydrochloride
on the s. s. "Anrers" by the Superintendent of
Imports & Exports.
Hon. Colonial Secretary,
A detailed examination of the of the trunks
and papers found on Tanaka has revealed the following
additional information.

Two of the smaller of the seven trunks
were sent from Zurich separately on 27th July to
Harseilles, these trunks contained heroin packed in
25 ounce paper bags which were enclosed in white
cotton bags, whereas the rest of the heroin was
contained in dark coloured cardboard boxes, containing
25 ounces, It is, therefore, probable that the heroin
was actually obtained from two sources.

His addresses in France were:-

Victoria Palace Hotel, Rue Blaise des Goffe,
Montparnasse.
Fotel de Paix, 32, Rue de Seinte, Marseilles.
He seems to have been accompanied in France
by a Japanese,by name J. Hagasawa, who probably ac-
companied him on his aeroplane trip to Zurich on the
lóth July. Various snapshots were found showing him
in front of the aeroplane "City of Melbourne",

of Morphine Hydrochloride issued by the Japanese Government
in December 1925. It is just possible that these drugs
