7. The Marconi Company and Radio Communication Company are making certain arrangements for a test with ships under their control.

8. A special report indicating the times at which the signal was called for and the subsequent procedure of the station should be forwarded on each occasion.

9. I shall be glad if the operators concerned would take an opportunity of practising the sending of these signals beforehand.

10. It is anticipated that these trials will extend over a period of six weeks or two months.

11. The first trials will be made on the 600 m. standard set. Notice Subsequently they will be extended to the emergency set.

of this will be given in due course.

12. When it is desired to test with the emergency apparatus, the signal QZZ1 (one) will be made instead of QZZ.

13. During the period of this test, stations making use of the TTT signal should reduce the length of the dashes to not more than three seconds so as to avoid confusion as to the results obtained.
