the suggestion submitted in Sir R.E.Stubbs Confidential des tch of the 7th of August that the suns expended by the Hong Kong Government on the launches which were employed on anti-piracy service prior to the 21st of August, 1955, sho-ld be refunded to that Goverment from Imperial funds.
Copies of draft despatches which, subject to the concurrence of the Departments concerned, Ir, Amery proposes to address to the Governor of "eng Kong are also enclosed. I am to squire whether Their lordships concur in the terms of those draft despatches.
Copies of this letter are being sent to the Foreign Office, the far Office, and the Board of Trade.
