With reference to your letter of the 12th
of January (No.M.84/26) and previous correspondence
in regard to Piracy in waters adjacent to the Colony
of Hong Kang, I am directed by Mr. Secretary Amery to
transmit to you, to be laid before the Lords Commis-
sioners of the Admiralty, the accompanying copies of
the Notes of the Keeting which was held at this Office
an the 15th of January.
In the light of the views which serc ex-
pressed at this meeting Mr. Amery has come to the
conclusion that, in exising circumstances, no
useful murpose would be served at this juncture by
murening further the auxestiona which have been put
forward that adsitional armed launches should be pro-
vided for anti- iracy service in the Jc ton wolta
ares.
