With roforenco to 0.0.0. Komorandum No. 517-H
(Draft), circulated for approval on 11th August, 1926,
the Chairman on reconsideration considerod that the opinion
of the Foreign Office as to whether the purchase of the
site was an infringemont of Article 19 of the Washington
Treaty should be obtained before the recommendations of tho
Committee were submitted to tho Committee of Imperial
Defence.
2. The opinion of the Foreign Office has boon received,
and in consoquence the whole of pago 2 of the draft has been
rovigod.
3. A revised draft is attached for consideration at
the looting on Friday the 29th inst.
4. A roservation by the Treasury reprenentative is also
included in the draft Honorandum,
