in force for the Royal Navy, is advanced to the rating of Chief Petty Officer, Petty Officer or Leading rate in the Seamen, Signal or Telegraphist Branch, or to Chief Stoker or Stoker Petty Officer or Leading Stoker or Acting Leading Stoker, to fill a vacancy caused by the death,-desertion, final discharge to the shore by invaliding or otherwise (except on expiration of Royal Navy engagement), diarating or reduction in rating, of a Royal Navy rating on loan, no reversion will take place on return to the Royal Navy.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADVANCEMENT TO MARANT BANK. will be promoted to Acting Warrant rank from the RA.N. roster during period of loan from the Royal Navy.
8.
PASSAGE AND EXPENSES ALLOWED.

(i) Cost of personal passage out and home will be defrayed
by the Commonwealth Government.
(ii)
Freight on baggage, according to Admiralty scale, will
Se allowed at Government expense.
(iii) Furniture and other personal effects will not be convey
ed at the expense of the Commonwealth.
9. NLISTENT. As the Commonwealth Naval Defence Act 1910-18, Section 26, provides that every person enlisting in the Naval Forces of the Commonwealth of Australia must take and subscribe an Oath or Affirmation of Enlistment, such Qath or Affirmation must be executed at the time this form is signed.
The foregoing conditions are clearly understood by me. I hereby certify that I accept these conditions and agree to serve in any ship or establishment of the Royal Australian Navy for
years from a date to be decided on by the proper Naval authorities, pay at Australian rates commencing from such date.
