113,000 per annum when dollar below / relief afforded would be inadequate in the case of officers making remittances. At dollars 12.40 officer on £1200 per annum would receive only dollare 40 per month extra. If officers making remittances are provided for as pro- visionally approved, I do not consider that the extension of the sliding scale is necessary at present,
