With reference to your Confidential despatch

dated 15th April, 1926, concerning the reclamation scheme at North Point and the extension eastwerds of this scheme, I have the honour to enclose for your information copies of a report by the Deputy Port Engineer.

I regret that the proposal to grant a loan to Mr. Kwik was not referred to you in the time of my predecesed

3. The report by Mr. A. Anderson, Deputy Port Engineer of the Public Works Department, who has been associated with the work from its commencement and the plans enclosed give a complete account of the scheme as requested in your Confidential despatch.

With reference to your request in pararaph 3

of the same despatch for a more precise account of the commitments which have been entered into in regard to the extension eastwards of the scheme, I have the honour to inform you that beyond the undertaking given to Mr. Kwik to require a similar type of wall construction if and when the

reclamation of liarine Lots 430 and 431 is extended eastward as stated in the report, this Government has entered into no further commitment other than (a) the additional cost involved in strengthening the nullah well which becomes

necessary
