Extract from the Taun Wan Yat Po, Hongkong,
24th July, 1926.
Telegram by Yuen Tso Hirg, announcing his
participation in the Northern Expedition.
Pang Hon Cheung and Ho Lung of the Sze-chuen and
Kwai Chow Frontiers Defence Army, since their surrender
to the Nationalist Government, have already marched to the west
pf Hu-nan to join the Northern Expedition for the punish- ment of Fu. Again of late Tuen Tso Ming and Wong Tin Pui of Kwai Chow have also sent repeated telegrams to the Authorities of Hu-nam and Kwong Si, expressing their desire to co-operate with the Nationalist Government and send troops to punish Tu. Wong Tin Pui, Commissioner of Kwai Chow, in his telegram to Tong Shang Chi some time ago, has declared that he would fight for the prestige of the Party (Kuomintang) and the country. Recently a telegram from Yuen Tao King has been received through Wong Shiu Hung of Kwong Si to the effect that the latter together with Com- missioner Tong Tin Pui, has already marched 18 "rixed" Battalions to the west of Hu-nant and Hu-peh actually to join the Northern Expedition for the punishment of Wu, and that he is staying at Hung Kong in the west of Hu-nam for purposes of supervision.
