GOVERNMENT "HOUSE.
HONGKONG, 28th July, 1926.

Sir,
Gov 4b412125
With reference to the despatch No.350 of lith September, 1925, of Sir R. A. Stubbs, in connection with a grant of 3 acres of land to the Christian Brothers as a new site for their present branch school in Chatham Road, Kowloon, a proposal which was sanctioned by your despatch
For 46412/25 No.387 of 21st October, 1925, I have the honour to inform
you that representations have now been made by the applicants for an increase of this area.
2.
In my opinion for a school accommodating 800 pupils, of whom 300 will be boarders, an area larger than three acres is very desirable. I have visited the proposed site and I enclose a plan, upon which is shown in red an area of about six acres, which I now propose to grant to the Christian Brothers on the same terms and conditions as those transmitted with the despatch referred to above. These conditions include a nominal Crown Rent and a proviso that the land shall be used solely for the purposes of a school, as laid down in Special Condition (a). The area is an extension of the one previously recommended.
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE
LIEUTENANT COLONEL L.C.M.S. AMERY, M.P.,
