Sir,

R

GOVERNMENT HOUSE,

Cond1x4py, 1925.

HOND

2 AUG 1926

I have the honour to address you in connection with a proposed exchange of an area, at present occupied by the Soldiers and Sailors Hone, conducted under the auspices of the Wesleyan Methodist Mission. At present they hold Inland Lot 1212 situated at the corner of Arsenal Street and Preya East. Owing however to the new lay out of this district consequent on the Praya East Reclamation Scheme, it is necessary to resume possession of this lot and it is

proposed to grant them another site in the immediate vicinity, at the corner of Anton Street and a proposed new 100 feet road. I enclose a plan wherein the area at present owned by the Wesleyan Mission, about 4475 square feet is coloured blue and the area to be granted in exchange, about 6292 square feet, is coloured red. The proposed line of

the new 100 feet road is hereon delineated between red lines.

I also enclose a copy of the particulars and conditions of the proposed sale.

The value of the buildings on Inland Lot 1212

has been assessed by the Director of Public Works at $90,350.

The excess value of the red area over the blue area has been

assessed at $14,556. The sum payable to the Hission would

therefore only amount to $75,814.

LIEUTENANT COLONEL L.C.M S. AMERY, M.P.,
