despatak No. 50 of the 17th May to ilia Majesty's Minister at Peking, a copy of which you were good enough to forward to me on the sume day,1 have the honour to inform you that the railway projects in Agang-tung which chiefly interest this loverument are the following, visi-

(n) a juction line at Canton to connect the

loan-Canton and Canton÷linakow railways:

(b) the completion of the canton-ankow railway: w-

(c) the extension of the Fan-ling

light railway to Bins imy:

It would probably be within the nosas of

Hong Kong Govermont to finance projects (a) and (c)

without raising a loan, an. ith respect to the former
