My Lord Chief Justice,
I have the honour to ask for your Lordship's
approval and assistanos in the matter of obtaining silk, for which dignity I make application by this letter.
I was called to the Bar by Gray's Inn in January, 1908, and have practised here for over 13 years.
As your Lordship knows, an addition to the ranks of King's Counsel does not involve any additional burden upon litigants, for the reason that King's Counsel at the leoal Bar may appear without a Junier and may attend to all matters which, in England, would be handled by Juniors only.
If my application meets with your Lordship's favour I respectfully ask that the question may be placed before His Freellency the Governor for consideration.
I have, đo..
(Sd.). P. G. Jenkin.
