The Committee assume th .t it is intended:

(a) that Mr Nagel will not be debarred from carrying out such spiritual duties on behalf of the local Christian community as he may be called on to undertake; und

(b) that the proceeds of the sale of any pro- perties belonging to the Basel Mission, if such sales are carried out by the new body of trustees, will, as in the case of the other missions, be handed over to the Basel Missionary Society, for use in its work in China and to meet existing claims and the needs of such work in Hongkong
