I have the honour to refer to paragraph 13 of

Bir donald Yadlenyꞌa deapatch “o,64 of January 31st

on the subject of the political situation in China in

which mention was made of the representations addressed

by the foreiTM Representatives in Peking to the Wal

Chise Pu urging the runsval of the dangean Arsenal and

Langhua Powder Yaetary from the immediate vicinity of

Shanghai, and of the etene supposed to have been taken

by the Chinese Jovernment on their own iniative for

the demilitarization of the Shanghai area.
