Following on the interview we had the honour of having yester- day with your Txodlkenny, and on the lines laid down by you, with a view to harronizing the divergent opinions of both parties, which however were wimated by a common desire to settle the points at issue in an amicable manner, we have the honour to forward herewith topy of the proposed. Agreement for the mettle- ment of the present strike, including an article relating to public employees which we trust may receive your approval.

It is mutually understood, as regaris the Felice, that as a token of high appreciation of your Excellency's offer to find employment for those who, out of respect for the fundamental principles governing public security, cannot be maintained in the Puolio Jerving, and giving due consideration to the desire that they shall not be sacrifined and with the nomor purpose of Avoiding any misunderstanding or ill-feeling in the future, both bunalla agree that, instead of their being subjected to discip- linary menmuros, they shall be allowed to return to their raspamtive ipline Stations and to tender their resignations.
